|
|
I have always used the default setting of the Sidki Filter program which is "1.3 Standard Mode". I would like to try the "1.4 Advanced Mode". Do I only have to simply remove the checkmark out of the box for the 1.3 Standard Mode and put a checkmark in the box of the 1.4 Advanced Mode ? I have done this and I don't seem to notice any difference ... it seems like I didn't do anything and am still in the 1.3 Standard Mode. If there are other steps to do in this process could someone please tell me the order and how to exactly change from 1.3 Standard mode to 1.4 Advanced Mode.
thanks, hobo2008

Thanks, Ralph ... I didn't think to "reload" Proxomitron. ... stupid on my part. I used the Advanced mode for about 10 minutes and decided that the 1.3 Standard Mode works better for me. It was taking too long for some web pages to load. ... at least this is what I noticed. ... am I right about this observation ??? ... I am thinking the Advanced Mode is doing more filtering and some web pages must or will take longer to open ... I had one that really took a long time. Does this sound right if using the Advanced Mode over the Standard Mode? The Standard Mode (default) really works pretty good for me with all the filtering it does, I can get into the NY Times and Wash Post to read articles, check The Phantom (comics) without having to log in at all. That's a part of the Standard Mode that I like ... a little faster to get to some things.
thanks again for the info,

Use what you feel comfortable with . I have always used the advanced mode ; problems do occur on some sites but I have always used bypass to view these . ProxFox or Kye-U will chime in I'm sure and give you a more detailed perspective .
