my computer will not let me open itunes or sign into windows messenger. whenever i click on the itunes icon to open it it never opens. don't know why. or if i go to play a song from where its stored onmy computer the song won't open and play. any idea how to fix this? also windows messenger will not sign me in.

i have a screenshot of what pops up after i try to log into messenger. i have also check the connection, i have a net connection, but it saying im not connected to messenger.

The error message is from Windows Defender, not Messenger. Is Windows Defender working OK? Up-to-date? What version of Windows do you have?

i don't know about the windows defender, is that whats stopping messenger and itunes from opening?

yea man, deleting didn't do anything. and i already scaned for spyware and viruses and malware, didn't find anything. how do i fix this? any 1 that knows??

i followed the steps. i still get a msg. i don't think it was a windows defender msg tho

itunes still wont open when i double click, it just shows the hourglass and doesn't open. Windows Live is slow when i type in my email and password to loggg in, it takes like 10 seconds after im done typing for it to show in the bar. and when i click logg in it says windows live failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. please try again later error code: 8004888d

i think i haven't redownloaded windows defender cuz i don't see it in the add/remove programs.
