I do not know when this started happening or what caused this but I am unable to access the mozilla addons website (https://addons.mozilla.org/) with only one computer on my network. The other computers have no issues accessing the website.

I have tried clearing the firefox cache, ipconfig /flushdns, netsh winsock reset, and attempting to access the site with multiple browsers (IE7, firefox 3, firefox 3 portable). I also tried putting the problem computer in the DMZ zone in my router.

Absolutely nothing has worked and I can't think of anything else to try. Does anyone have any possible ideas of something I could try to hopefully make this website work?

I am running Zonealarm Pro and Avast! free edition AV software.
If you need any more information just ask.

Thanks
-Steve

^..that was me up there

I tried disabling all of zonealarms firewall and program control stuff and also tried turning zonealarm off completely but neither worked.

I think I am going to download Comodo firewall because I am getting sick of zonealarm. Maybe that might help even though turning zonealarm off didn't work.

You might first try uninstalling ZA and seeing if it works - because it might not be a ZA problem at all, but something else....

After uninstalling ZA and before installing Comodo I tried the site and it still does not work.

Something I realized that I forgot to mention in the first post....

At the bottom of firefox where it says the page loading status, it says that it connected to the website and says it is transferring data. It even loads the little icon that goes next to the URL in the address bar [a green puzzle piece]. But once it gets that loaded, it just says waiting for addons.mozilla.org at the bottom and does not get any farther.
I don't know if that information will help at all but I figured it wouldn't hurt to add it.

I wonder if the loading problem might have something to do with the page being encrypted...
It uses RC4 128bit encryption according to Firefox.

Nope, other encrypted pages load just fine (tested on both AES-256 bit encryption and a different website with RC4 128 bit). So never mind on that post.

grasping at straws, did you check hosts file? What happens if you try the ip address?
63.245.209.31

I checked the host file and the only entry is localhost with an IP of 127.0.0.1 so I assume that there are no problems with it.

When I tried to go to the IP that you showed me, both Firefox and IE both only say,
"waiting for 63.245.209.31..."

I am successfully able to ping the IP address in the command prompt though... Confused

Does Firefox Safe Mode work?

Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)

Safe mode doesn't work either. It does the same thing as Firefox in regular mode.
It loads the SSL certificate (Firefox gives all the information about it so I am assuming that means that certificate is loaded) and then the page just stays blank and it says loading at the top.

I found another website that will not work.

https://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login/login.psp?sitedomain=www.aim.com&authLev=0&lang=en&locale=us&icid=aimDBNavBadgeUnauth_2&siteState=OrigUrl%3dhttp%253a%252f%252fdashboard%252eaim%252ecom%252faim

Its the sign in link at the top right corner of www.aim.com . It also uses Equifax RC4 128 bit encryption, just like the mozilla addons website.

Does it happen to all encrypted sites?

Anything that begins with https://

Examples are Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail.
