Howdy y'all!
Out of the plethora of forums, I think this might be the right one for this problem... I never feel quite sure, though.
Last year, in fact it was nearly a year ago to this day -- near enough to what ever day you happen to be reading this -- that we bought an LG XNote R405-SP70K computer on our LAST day in Korea. What a mistake! Never buy a computer on the last day you're in a country, especially when you're on your way to the airport.
Anywho, it's a decent machine, I guess, but upon arriving at our destination, we discovered that the battery that came with our computer was the wrong battery.
LG doesn't sell notebook computers in Viet Nam where I live.
I've found the LG websites to be confusing and of course no where on any of their multitude of websites is there a big blinking link saying "buy replacement batteries for your LG notebooks here!"
Short of me myself traveling back to Korea -- it's a lovely country, but I've spent a lot of time there and would really rather see other parts of the world now -- how can I find a battery for this machine?
Thanks for any advice you can give.

I am not a hardware expert, but I would think that batteries are standard items, mostly. I would go to a large computer retailer and see if they can offer the same battery from another manufacturer.
Alternatively you could try to contact LG in Viet Nam (Link removed by Staff) and see if they can order the battery for you.

Alert!
Due to a copy/paste mistake, I posted a malware link in the previous post.
Do not click on that link!

The correct link to LG Electronics (Viet Nam) is http://vn.lge.com/

Thanks for the advice. I should've thought to outline the steps we've taken so far. We went to the biggest store here in HCMC to see about a battery and told a replacement wasn't available in Viet Nam. Now, whether that is exactly true or not, I don't know, but my suspicion is they would've rather sold us a battery that didn't work rather than not sell us a battery at all if they were going to be anything less than forthright and accurate about the sitaution.
However, your advice about just asking LG Viet Nam for help is good and probably something I should've thought to do on my own. I've written them and we'll see.
Thanks again for your time and thoughts.
