While continuously running your ME system? If so, then explorer may have crashed and restarted on its own. I've seen it happen. The best way for it to return is for a system reboot.

Don't understand what you are saying. Sad
Did reboot it manually (start>restart)...but still no firewall icon. When I pass my cursor over the NAV icon, it does show the firewall icon...but I used to have a separate firewall icon next to the NAV icon...very handy if I had to disable firewall for something. Maybe not too important, but feel 'naked' without it showing in the systray. Very Happy
I did have to do an uninstall/re-install of NAV after doing a system restore - which screwed up the virus updates (yada, yada, yada Razz )...so I guess that could be the problem. Oh well...thanks Paul for your help. Guess I will just keep 3 icons in my systray instead of 4. Wink
