After slowing down my computer something awful I decided to get rid of it. (Norton 2003 on XP Pro.) Nothing but trouble. Parts uninstalled and than hung. I'm now left with parts of norton that won't run and a bunch of error messages whenever the computer starts. I went to the registry and removed entries to norton but I don't want to remove .dll files that might be shared. Any suggestions as to what to do next.?

Thanks

I recently had my norton corrupted by adware/worm and had to do a manual removal of all components before reinstall would work and product would function proper, removed the registry enties with a removal tool from norton (version is sysworks2004 on xp).
you can find instructions on the symantec website (support - search) for tools to auto remove(2003 ver) the norton product. Think its called rnav?
Interested - what are you moving to?
