Never mind. I figured it out. some how, Blocked had become checked in ZA+ for this site. Now I really feel like fat fingered Sally!

I have been trying to get to Broadband reports and have been getting a
I am pretty certain that this is not an OS problem, but just what it is, I don't know so don't know where exactly to post it.
I continue to get a DNS error page whenever I try to get to the site. When I try to ping or do a tracert, the following is what I get. I have never, ever seen this before. Can someone explain what is happening? What the heck is this. Network problems, and if so, where?
Pinging broadbandreports.com [209.123.109.175] with 32 bytes of data:
PING: transmit failed, error code 65.
PING: transmit failed, error code 65.

PING: transmit failed, error code 65.

When I try one of the other IPs for that site via NeoTrace, the following is what I get and I've never seen anything like this either:

Additionally, I have my ZA+ telling me that my computer was prevented from connecting to a restricted site (www.broadbandreports.com) yet this site is in my trusted sites!

This might just help:
I noticed that even if you aren't running Zone alarm, if it was previously installed it still sits there stopping stuff. You need to run Zone alarm and then it will ask you whether you wish to allow the ping request. (or just set it to minimal security)

You have a FIREWALL installed and running even if you do not think that its running or installed its there. If you have an ANTIVIRUS that has a firewall built in that could cause your problem. Checking in you TASKMANAGER or CLOSE PROGRAM WINDOWS (depending on version of windows) and you will see it there. Also if you have a router or some other sort of equipment make sure that there is not a built in firewall.
Good luck

Found the problem! Had a PC that had McAffee Firewall loaded at one time, then they uninstalled it. Getting the same error. I found that in the services in msconfig there was still a TrueVector Internet monitor loading. Took it out and rebooted. Internet and ping are both working fine now.
