Good Morning, Anyone know what this is ? It keeps requesting internet access. I have denied it ,but would like to know what it is.
On another subject, does anyone have any knowledge of using a Compaq A1000 with windows 2000. I am having real problems with mine. Thanks. Snecky

right click it and look at the properties and look at the version, it will tell you also the origin

OK, From what i can gather this is WBEMDISP or windows management instrumentation, As I understand it ,this could be another computer trying to get information and access rights from my computer? What do you think? Snecky

so this bemd.exe is in the folder C:\WINNT\system32\wbem
if not its strange, check the dates of the files...

The WBEMD files have been their for 2 or 3 yrs.
The BEMD file only since april 24 2004
|

if you did not install something on that day , then just rename the file by putting "OLD" infront of it, then later check if it was regenerated with the original name.

Can't find the file to rename. I have also posted my hijack this log in that forum to see if anyone can find anything
