I would sure like to see MailWasher Pro remove emails I have marked to be deleted when checking for more/new emails.
Why end up with a screen of emails that you have already scanned and determined to be deletable?
Why wait till you select Process Mail

Well for me my filters and blacklist catch a few valid e-mails and I like to check them out before they get deleted.
You can set autodelete for e-mails caught by your blacklist. _________________ Questions? Try the wiki

Maybe I didn't explain fully.
I get a bunch of emails.
I cursor through, determine the one I don't want to read and check the delete box.
They may not be from people I want to blacklist.
Maybe next time they write it will be something I wish to keep.
A while later MailWasher receives some more emails.
But when it checked for more emails I would have like for it to have deleted the ones I already so marked.
That way the screen will not eventually overflow with already checked and marked for deletion emails. _________________ Bill Heinzinger

How would the mail processor know which ones I checked manually and which ones the filters and blacklist had checked but that I hadn't reviewed yet. I always want to do the manual review of everything in the MailWasher window before I process my incoming mail.
You can hit process mail anytime and process whatever you and the filters/blacklist have marked and then go back and mark more and process them. You can't undo a mail marked for deletion once you have hit process mail or if the process mail kicked off and deleted them during a new mail check.
I guess I don't really understand the problem.... _________________ Questions? Try the wiki

I usually have MW open.
It is scheduled to check for email every 10 minutes.
In comes 10 emails.
1 is checked to be bounced as it's in my blacklist file
2 are just nothing important which I can tell from the little preview window and I put a check in the delete box for these two.
The other 7, I want to keep and later will read them fully and/or reply from my email client.
I then go about my other work.
On the next scheduled email check I get two more
1 is nothing important
1 is spam and I click the Blacklist box
1 I want to keep for later.
eventually after a while my screen will start to scroll.
Seeing as how I already previewed and decided that 2 should be bounced
and
3 are not important and should be deleted
why not get rid of them on the regurlarly scheduled email checks????
I don't want them, they are just clogging the screen
they are filling my mailbox.
and
I'm not yet ready to deal with the emails I want to keep so why go to Process, and then have to go back to MW screen...
The idea was to preview and get rid of stuff I don't want...
Why add an additional 2 steps to get rid of the unwanted emails?
I realize it's my personal preference. So making it optional would be great for me and you can choose not to.

Do you have MailWasher set to minimixe and launch your mail program after processing the mail?
I unchecked these two options and mailwasher happily sits right where I left it while processing the mail.
When I want to save stuff to my mail program I do a check to make sure nothing new has showed up since the last check, process it if needed and then click launch my mail program button.
I usually don't bother to launch the mail program unless I need to reply to something or I need to click on multiple links in one of my newsletters. _________________ Questions? Try the wiki

Not sure if this is what you want, but why not, set MWP to NOT automatically open your email proggy, then after you've reviewed them, <click> on [Process Mail], which will get rid of the "crap" and avoid buildup.
When you do want to deal with them, <click> on [Process Mail] (if required), then <click> on [Mail Program]. _________________ Al

That's real close.
Almost.
But I still have to hit process to get rid of the unwanted/already marked for delete.
What I'm hoping for...
is that whatever I've already marked for delete, or bounce/blacklist to be deleted automatically upon it's next scheduled email check.
Please understand I'm not complaining...
It's just an automation that may only be of liking to me...
But ... that's why I suggested it.
Thanks

It's an interesting concept to eliminate having to click Process Mail... but I think the problem is that you may miss a round of email checking (be away from your computer perhaps... particularly if it checks like every 10 minutes) and then something could be -automatically- marked for deletion, by a filter or a DNS blacklist, and automatically cleared/deleted without your having the chance to look at it, or uncheck it. The Process button is only one click... I guess it might get tedious if you actually review your email as it occurs right there in front of you... but this self-clearing on mail check would have to be optional... and even then you would want to be highly aware of your automatic marking. If you use no automatic blacklisting etc... or just don't mind the risk, then auto-clearing on every mail check might simplify things... but I don't think most people watch the mail flow that closely. If there was a 'trash can' (recycle bin) feature than this wouldn't be as much of a hazard, if you review your 'trash'. Didn't we see something mentioned about a recycle bin feature coming? (You know you can click on the delete column header and force all the delete marked emails to the bottom.)
