Greetings. I have been using Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D for a little while now, and am happy with both. I was in Staples today getting some antivirus software for a client, and the guy behind the counter started a discussion about spyware. He said he didn't run either of those programs because they are, in fact, spyware themselves. I wasn't sure how to respond, so I thought I'd ask some of you experts. Thanks for your time. Smile

claire is absolutely right, there is no spyware in either program. Your man in Staples obviously knows nothing of the anti-spyware business.

Next time you're in there, tell them what they're missing. Better still, send them over here for an education. Wink

Thanks for clearing that up. Smile I kinda figured the guy didn't know what he was talking about. I started visiting Computer Cops a month ago, and the resources and forums have been extremely informative. Thanks again!
