Hi!
Ive inherited a Job here and I think I have it sussed, but I need some verification/ soothing encouragement!
I Have installed an ADSL router on a private range 192.x.x.x/255.255.255.0 and it connects to the ADSL line no problem.
I have also installed a hardware Lightning Ethernet firewall behind it, WAN card facing the 192. range of the Modem and the LAN card facing internal 10.x.x.x 255.0.0.0
There is some kinda filtering going on at the Modem as it is catching some of the more obvious portscans... But im not seeing the hardware router drop anything incoming....
Am I setting this up right? I can browse and everything works im just a bit paranoid!! The Firewall is a DHCP client of the ADSL modem so that it picks up broadcast info and stuff and I cannot ping the workstations (10.x.x.x range) from the ADSL router Ping utility so I guess im mostly there.......
Some qustions
1)Should I enable NAT between the MODEM and FIREWALL
2)Is there anything else I should be doing here!
Thanks Alot
