I can't seem to get my router log to work except for when I open it from the web page. I have downloaded logviewer and several other things that are supposed to allow me to save my logs and such. I've spent quite a bit of time on the phone and online with linksys support (who always say "if you've downloaded it, your logs should just automatically show up there) but I've still had no success. Can someone help me out?

What exactly did you download and where did you get it?
I'm willing to give it a look on my system and see if I can see what is happening. _________________ Questions? Try the wiki

If you set SNMP it still doesn't send logviewer messages.

Logviewer has some bugs still in it.
First, you have to upgrade to Firmware version 1.50.14
Then you have to remove and reinstall Logviewer, and be sure to find and remove Incoming.log and Outgoing.log
Reinstall Logviewer. Usually the whole system must be restarted [a leftover from lumberjack programming in Redmund, WA State].
You then must set up Logviewer to receive logs on a particular computer, usually assigned the first Intranet address 192.168.1.100 for Linksys Wireless-B Broadband Router BEFW11S4.
You should then download and install a client, such as CVTWin Logviewer from DShield. This helps send Port Probing attacks to a central location that is taking action to identify hackers and take them off line.
Even with the new Firmware, however, the router and Logviewer seem to log only the first few port hits and then it seems to just stop logging. It is unknown at this time why it does that. It is speculated that router Firmware is still not functional in a continuing form.
Good luck.
