Please Help.
Windows displays an 'Windows Has Recovered From A Major Error' box almost every time I start-up. restart or leave the system running for extended periods of time. The details is a list of code I don't understand. Can I correct this problem without loosing the data I have stored on the hard-drive?

Greetings,

Draggon
You'll need to tell us a few things first. Smile

What operating system do you have?

What is the "code" you don't understand? Is it a "STOP 0x00..." type of message?

If it is, we need to know what it says exactly - also, does it mention a filename at the end of the message?

Kindest regards,

Dragan Glas

I'm Running Win. XP home. I have the OEM disk if need be.
the error messege reports as follows:

error signature:
BCCode : d1 BCP1 : 00000400 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : F73ED8F9 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 768_1

Files contained in Error report
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini080404-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Samuel\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

As a starting point.....I installed and ran ad-aware on my girlfriends mother's computer, as I have done on mine, and she now receives the EXACT same error messege......coincidence?
