I know how to change my WAN I.P. But whenever I do, it only changes the last two sections For example it was 55.55.86.58 before and now its 55.55.45.52 like that. I changed the Mac Address and thats all it changes. Does anyone know how to change the entire address?

I actually did give you credit for posting in the correct forum and should have specifically asked for the model number. Now that I have it I will check around a bit. _________________

Thanks. Ive tried changing the MAC address stated above but it only changed the last two sections not the entire I.P. I have also tried completley shutting of my router and cable modem for over 48 hours and they stayed the same.. I got a new I.P. via my cable modem, but the router stayed, Im thinking you can change it in the router or something. Thanks.

Okay, I am a little confused here at some of your comments. The MAC address and IP address are totally different things and entirely unrelated. For your particular router the place to set a static WAN IP address is under the Setup tab. To set a static IP address you must use the drop down list to select your WAN connection type to Static IP. Did your ISP instruct you to do this? If so, then they should also have provided a subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server ID.
At this point, assuming that this is the area that you are attempting to change, I would wonder if you are changing all the values.
If you are trying to change this in any other menu path please let me know what it is. I have a copy (now) of the user guide for your device so can reference that rather easily. _________________
