I was going through and doing a routine Windows update on my second computer, and the computer froze and I had to do a hard restart. When I went to turn the computerback on, it said that there was a system32 file missing and that it would not boot until it was reinstalled so it constantly reboots after the blue HP Pavillion screen. It is an HP Pavillion from about 2-3 years ago, we dont not have a Windows XP disk with it. Is there anything I can do to get this file back without an XP disk?
(P.S. The file showed up one time, but hasnt showed up since then.)

The computer would not boot at all, not even in safe mode. But I got an XP cd from a friend to reinstall windows over the old version. Thanks anyways.
