|
|
Running IBM Netfinity 3000 server ; Windows 2000NT for my business. Server runs 24 hours a day and maintains data for two software programs. Lately it has displayed an 'error message' indicating that memory is low and unless it is re-booted, the machine is useless. I have upgraded it from 128 to 256K ram but continue to get the low memory message, and the PC continues not to function. I have determined that the ram modules are installed correctly and it is showing 256k upon testing. I have run virus checks...PC is 'clean'; also have run tests on www. pcpitstop, which indicates that machine is ok. Can anyone offer suggestions; I would hate to have to purchase a new machine at this stage. _________________ Darryl

Thanks!! I'm sure there's no virus..I've run the TrendMicro virus detector and it shows that the PC is clean. I will run chkdsk, etc. and see if that makes a difference. _________________ Darryl
