Running IBM Netfinity 3000 server ; Windows 2000NT for my business. Server runs 24 hours a day and maintains data for two software programs. Lately it has displayed an 'error message' indicating that memory is low and unless it is re-booted, the machine is useless. I have upgraded it from 128 to 256K ram but continue to get the low memory message, and the PC continues not to function. I have determined that the ram modules are installed correctly and it is showing 256k upon testing. I have run virus checks...PC is 'clean'; also have run tests on www. pcpitstop, which indicates that machine is ok. Can anyone offer suggestions; I would hate to have to purchase a new machine at this stage.

d/l ad-ware do the same.
some may have hacked your system check log files for suspiuse entries.
check hard drive for missing space. hackers could implament hidden sectors.
do chkdisk defrag

Thanks!! I'm sure there's no virus..I've run the TrendMicro virus detector and it shows that the PC is clean. I will run chkdsk, etc. and see if that makes a difference.
