Keep getting two message relating to C:\windows\system32\audcntr.exe on start up. the first says "cannot find" the second says "could not load or run etc" along with some gumpf about making sure it is spelt correctly and if not found remove reference from registry.

I cant find the stupid thing anywhere on my computer including in the registry and this has been drivin me nuts for days! pls help!

ALSO: I keep getting booted off internet explorer for no reason. Ill be happily navigating around and suddenly the windo will just close.

had some virus trouble recently and fixed everything I could find but still have these 2 problems. are they related?

what o/s are you useing?
d/l spybot search and destroy,update it run it. d/l ad-ware do the same.
to be sure your still free of virus do online scan at housecall anti virus.

if after doing the above problems not solved do post back for the next step.

avast works keep useing it. housecall online scan only works well it dose it intial scan. its a good second opinion and diagnostic tool.
let me know how things go and i will help you for next step.

forgot housecall but went back and did it, only picked up 11 minor trojans still working ok. Deleted avast while doing the other scans as it kept popping up everytime the other progs scanned a virus, and it halted the scanning process in the meantime so it lengthened the process quite badly. Will take your advice and stick it back on tomorrow morning, dont know what time it is where you are but its 2am here in the uk and ive been at this since 9am yesterday. whew, coulda been shorter if id found this site first and you can quote me!!!. Thanks for all your help! x

avg is anther free anti virus you may want to try it instead.
