I am currently having problems downloading from websites. I cannot view online video or download programs. I receive this message. (- Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site-The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. -) I am currently using cable internet witha linksys router.I am still able to browse normally, just no downloads . any help would be much appreciated.

you might try going to add/remove and remove ie6 if its listed choose repair.

Right, i am unable to download anything from anywhere. i am using xp.

Ie6 is not listed in add/remove programs.

got anther computer you can d/l to burn to cd?
as most of the solutions will need this.
try going to start,run, type sfc /scannow click ok incert xp cd when asked.

ok, did that, didn't work. any other suggestions

d/l firefox 9.3 on a friends computer burn to cd install that can you connect than?

routers screw up some times and need to be rest this is problem i have had.
reset your router and try it.
