Hmmmmmmmmm not really sure what your getting at, but let's see if I am on the right track.

I play an online game (Return To Castle Wolfenstein). On my old computer (1g cpu) the game ran, but was a bit sluggish. On my new computer (3g cpu) the game runs, but it runs at a much steadier frame rate and never bogs down on me. So yes, I would say that a process may be able to run with less cpu, but most will run better with more cpu pushing them.

Does this help?

Jim.....i think so....think back to 98 apps.....seems right on the money...and the older software applications wouldn't go fast if ya put Kenny Bernstein behind em' and John Force in front of em'........as always in my vague and honest opine
