Hi

We have the avg7 network version and also use pocomail version 3 and mailwasher version 4.

when I installed the avg7 I was able to use the email scanner however, it kept doing very weird things to my mail. I would view say 7 messages in mailwasher and then process mail and download them to poco and then i would only get 5 mails, and the missing mails would be included in some of the other mails. Also I could not keep the headers for forwarding any mails for yahoo accounts.

Anyway, when i disabled the avg email scanner it all worked fine again, however, I would still like to scan attachments using the command line parameters as I did with avg6, but I am unable to get this to work. I enter the file extensions I wish to check, point the virus scanner to be avg and have tried all the exe files, but I still cannot get it to work.

Has anybody ever come across this with poco or any other mail client or knows how I can set this to run successfully. I have been to support for both grisoft and poco, but they both say it is the other program, ie, poco blames avg and avg blames poco. I don't believe it is mailwasher that is causing the conflict, but as long as I don't use the personal email scanner from avg7 i can get my mail fine.

Would be really great if anyone has any ideas about this.

thanks

Hi there,

Have you tried the work-around from --> AVG Virus Scanner Settings for use with Poco ?
