i recently downloaded da free version of avg (because unfortunately had to uninstall mcafee and it dont wanna install again ..since idid dis online..but das not da point)..and dowloaded all da updates and erything..

but im seeing how ders threads for updates...does dis mean dat u have to find an update manually?...or does just clicking on da tab ind a control center..and lookign for updates..is dat dda same?..

da version is 6.0.749

is it da wun dats also compatible wit windows xp sp2??..i think it is but i rather make sure..and wuld u say avg is a good anti virus ??..any answers would be greatly appreciated

AVG6 is a good AV, even better, it's free. I have not heard of any conflicts yet between AVG and SP2. You can set up scheduling for automatic updates by double-clicking the AVG icon in your Taskbar and then click on the Update Manager tab. It's pretty easy.

Nope. Unlike other AV programs, updates on AVG are usually pretty quick. If you want an update in 30 seconds or less -- that's lightning fast. I'm on DSL btw, not broadband.
