not a chance!
there are too many threats on the internet to rely solely on just an anti-virus program and the firewall that came with your operating system.
today the people that write malware are extremely sophisticated at penetrating your line of defense at the gate to your personal computer or your small business system.
it is not enough to think that you can survive and recover from an intrusion by detection of the problem after it has happened and then sweeping your system to remove the spybots or trojans or worms that were on your system.
between the time that the intrusions have occurred and when you have discovered them and then took steps to remove them they have possibly already done the damage that was intended by their authors.
you will very likely need at least an aftermarket firewall;at least like the free version of zone alarm.

there are other items that are very usefull too:
spywareblaster,
trojanhunter,
cwsearch,
hijackthis,
bugoff,
spybot search and destroy,
and ad aware SE,

i'm sure that there are plenty of other opinions about your needs out there.
this will give you a good place to start.
