I need to boot to the Windows Recovery Console to delete a deeply hidden harmful file. I'm on XP hm ed. SP2. My XP disks are XP (not SP2) & when I try to install from the CD it says the version on the CD is older than the version on the hard drive. When I try to boot from the CD I get error messages & it closes. How can I tell if the Recovery Console is installed? How can I install it if it isn't? How do I get into it if it is installed? Thanks
